A Memory Called Empire

This book has been a really hard slog. I think I started it in early August, which means it’s taken me over 2 months to get three-quarters of the way through it. I'll keep going until I finish it but at this point all that’s keeping me going is bloody-minded stubbornness. I can't keep the characters straight. They have names like "Six Direction" and "Three Seagrass" and even though you'd think that having a number and a noun would make it easier to distinguish them, I find it really hard to remember who is who.
